Grace-in-motion

2020

annual report

We love because he first loved us

1 John 4:10

Thank you

It's needless to say what all of us just experienced in 2020, the global pandemic, the fear of unknown and loneliness, grieving the loss of loved ones, financial struggles due to job loss, has been just unprecedented and it really put us to realize how small we are.

It has also been a time for us to cling to the hope which has been given to us, and what it means to share it with those around us. While most of the regular programs had to be put on hold due to the current climate, but Grace-In-Motion has been more active than ever in 2020 serving and addressing the needs of the most vulnerable during this difficult time.

The pandemic continues and many of us are still struggling to get back on our feet. But we hope this report provides you with a chance to pause and reflect on the fight we fought together and the journey we walked together, to bring encouragement to one another and to bring glory God.

Thank you for your continued support for our vision and participation in our programs. Please join us in praying for those that need hope and encouragement.

On the winning side with you,

Your friends at Grace-In-Motion

1. Thank you for joining our mission

Pre-pandemic

Our values

Through our annual Run for the Kids, Grace-In-Motion has provided educational and financial assistance to underserved communities around the world. Since 2012, we’ve raised over $100,000 for organizations such as Grace School (Tanzania), Mango House (Thailand), Durihana (South Korea), and many others who share our values and firm belief in the power of education.

Recently, we have shifted our focus on meeting the needs of communities closer to home. In 2019, we are working with the Teaneck school system to make sure everyone has equal access to a quality public education. Our goal is to set every student up for success, whether it’s having a backpack ready for the first day of school, or not worrying about meals on the weekends.

Our mission

The race course features gentle slopes and a towpath right along the Hudson River, as well as a scenic view of the George Washington Bridge and the New York City skyline.

Run for the Kids consists of four events: 5K run, 5K walk, 10K run, and the children’s obstacle race. When you register, you may register for only one event.

Due to popular demand, we are hosting our children's obstacle race this year for the second time! We have upgraded our race course to be even safer and more fun than last year, so that parents can enjoy the event just as much as the kids, and thrill-seekers of all ages can leave satisfied. We hope this race will teach the children something about overcoming obstacles while simply having fun.

Early registration price is $30 for the 5K/10K and $10 for the children’s race. On the day of the race: same-day registration will open at 8:00 AM. All runners are to pick up their T-shirt, trackers, and runners’ package before the race begins at 9:00 AM.

The gates to the Picnic Area close before 8:00 AM, at which point the 10K begins, followed by the 5K. The children’s race begins sometime after the 5K and 10K are over.
