Join us at the 7th annual Grace-in-Motion's Run for the Kids as we empower marginalized kids globally and locally together at the beautiful Ross Dock Park.
The Grace-in-Motion Race for Kids first started in 2012 to raise funds to bring education and financial assistance to the underprivileged communities around the world. Each year a new location is sponsored to aid in promoting youth education and encouraging the community through the younger generations. We here at GIM strongly believe that a global change begins with local impact.
This year, we want to shift our focus to underprivileged children in local towns in New Jersey by offering both recreational and educational programs. The net proceeds from this event go directly to provide scholarships to lower-income families who wish to send their children to 2019 summer camps offered by Youth Empowerment Services in New Brunswick and Sports & Arts camp in Teaneck.

2019 Y.E.S. Oasis Summer Camp
Located in a diverse neighborhood and reaching an underserved population, Youth Empowerment Services (Y.E.S.) invests in the youth of New Brunswick. In the summer of 2019, Y.E.S. will host their annual Oasis Summer Camp, which is open to children in Grades 4 - 8. Through Oasis, 30 campers can make the most of their summer with sports, arts, fun activities, workshops, and field trips. Through these activities, Y.E.S. hopes to broaden campers’ horizons and to help them to grow their confidence, social skills, and expand their understanding of the world around them.
2019 Teaneck Sports & Arts Summer Camp
For the summer of 2019, GIM will coordinate with the Township of Teaneck to sponsor its annual Sports & Arts Summer Camp. The Camp is open to kids Grades 4 to 9 and provides a fun and inclusive environment for them to learn and play in the summer. Through funds raised through the race, GIM will provide scholarships to lower-income families who wish to send their children to the camp.

Updates from 2017 EVENT
We are super thrilled to announce the final results of the 6th annual Run for the Kids 5k/10k race, held on September, 23rd - together, we raised $21,700! 100% of the proceeds this year went to support Grace School in Tanzania, Mango House in Thailand, Durihana School in South Korea, and a number of Grace-in-Motion’s in-house programs to directly benefit the children in Teaneck, NJ.
It would not have been possible without 223 amazing runners, our team of dedicated volunteers, and our generous sponsors and supporters who were part of the event. We are extremely grateful for your support and teamwork! Thank you!
