Run for the kids
Join us for our 11th annual Run for the Kids at the beautiful Ross Dock Picnic Area.
This year, we are partnering with FOREFRONT Charity to provide state-of-the-art facilities and high-quality education for underprivileged students in India.

RUNNING WITH PURPOSE
Since 2012, Grace-in-Motion has raised over $250,000 to promote education and human dignity in underserved communities around the world. We have hosted Run for the Kids to raise funds to bring education and financial assistance to underprivileged communities both locally and globally. The proceeds from this year’s race will go directly to a cause very close to our hearts that is in line with our organization’s mission statement.
ABOUT THE RACE
The race course features gentle slopes and a towpath right along the Hudson River, as well as a scenic view of the George Washington Bridge and the New York City skyline.
Run for the Kids consists of two events: 5K run and 2K walk. When you register, you may register for only one event.
We will also be hosting fun and exciting games and activities for children, so that parents can enjoy the event just as much as the little ones, and thrill-seekers of all ages can leave satisfied. We hope this race will teach the children something about overcoming obstacles while simply having fun.
Early registration price is $40 for the 5K Run and 2K Walk events, and $20 for children between age of 4-12. On the day of the race: same-day registration will open at 8:00 AM. All runners are to pick up their t-shirt, trackers, and runners’ package before the race begins at 10:00 AM.
PLASE NOTE: The entrance gates to the Picnic Area close before 9:30 AM, at which point the 2K Walk begins, followed by the 5K Run. There will be activity stations for children before and after the race events.

Updates from 2023
Thank you very much for your support and participation in last year’s Run for the Kids! It was our biggest race yet, with more than 600 participants and $50,000 raised in total. Proceeds went towards sponsoring children from Kyung An orphanage in Andong, South Korea.
We’re deeply grateful for all our generous sponsors and partners, and for our team of dedicated volunteers without whom this simply could not happen.
That being said: we’re anticipating an even greater turnout this year, and are thrilled to see what we might accomplish together. We hope to see all of you soon!
